Celebrate your daughter’s entrance into adulthood by throwing her a Bat Mitzvah she’ll remember for years to come.
Of course the first step in Bat Mitzvah planning is making sure that your daughter has accomplished all the necessary traditional qualifications in order to achieve her Bat Mitzvah. Once that is complete the planning for the celebration can begin.
Sit down with your daughter and decide whether or not you wish to have a traditional Bat Mitzvah celebration or a contemporary celebration. It will be valuable to gain her input early on as she may have concerns about not copying a friends theme or have conflicting ideas with you on what is considered hip.
Popular modern Bat Mitzvah themes include dance, sports, and luau. If you do not have a preference on traditional versus modern discuss what your daughter would prefer. If she is an avid tennis player or is on a traveling dance team maybe the party could highlight some of her accomplishments. Gather the dance team for a performance during the reception so your daughter can show off her skills to your friends and family. If tennis is her game then display trophies and pictures of her throughout the years playing tennis.
Once a theme for the Bat Mitzvah is decided this can be incorporated into all aspects of planning for the big day. When selecting a photographer, caterer and florist make sure they are well informed of the theme as ask if they have any creative ideas they can implement into their own craft.
